The Metal Wire Torsion Tester is suitable for measuring the ability of metal wires with a diameter (or characteristic dimension) of 0.1-5.0mm to withstand plastic deformation in unidirectional or bidirectional torsion, and for detecting surface and internal defects in the wires. This machine is primarily used for mechanical property analysis of metal wire in mechanical laboratories at universities, research institutes, and industrial and mining enterprises. It is also widely used for online testing in production facilities. Key industries include steel mills' high-speed wire, prestressed steel wire mills, quality control facilities, research institutes, highway transportation, construction, and other sectors involved in the production and use of wire rope, wire and cable, copper and copper alloy conductors for electrified railways, and copper contact wire.

Metal Wire Torsion Testing Machine Applicable to the People's Republic of China standards GB/T 239.1-2012 "Metallic Materials - Wire - Part 1: Unidirectional Torsion Test Method" and GB/T 239.2-2012 "Metallic Materials - Wire - Part 2: Bidirectional Torsion Test Method." Also applicable are the international standards ISO 7800:2003 "Metallic Wire - Unidirectional Torsion Test Method" and ISO 9649:1990 "Metallic Wire - Bidirectional Torsion Test Method."

Unidirectional Torsion: The specimen is uniformly rotated 360 degrees in one direction around its own axis for the specified number of times, followed by rotation in the opposite direction the same number of times, until the specimen fractures.

Bidirectional Torsion: The specimen is uniformly rotated 360 degrees in one direction around its own axis for the specified number of times, followed by rotation in the opposite direction the same number of times, until the specimen fractures.
